In 2007 Green Heron Landscaping was selected as one of three residential landscaping firms in the Triangle area to participate in an episode of HGTV's Landscapers' Challenge.

This popular reality show gave the Green Heron team the opportunity to "show our stuff," while providing the Petruzzi family of Rolesville with our vision and expertise.  The Petruzzis were interested in bringing a touch of Tuscany into their new residence and Shannon Hathaway's solution was to create a classic Tuscan garden, that balanced stone, foliage and fruit.
